Garden by Bike

Ahead of me awaits a jewel upon the grounds
how else describe the miraculous wonders there

everyone aligned to perform their tasks
awaiting the dawn restless to prepare

like on Henry’s path I ride past healthy neighbors jogging
sing good morning and arrive to catch the squirrels unaware

and the birds, this is their turn, I trespass, observe,
dream to examine one caught in a snare

rid this air! Listen how quiet scarcely embraces
distant laughter of men, traffic and machines
